Inviting less active members back to church is an act of love that can have a profound impact. It creates a sense of belonging and provides an opportunity for spiritual growth and renewal.

Let us extend invitations to less active members with love and compassion. By reaching out, we create a supportive environment where burdens can be lightened, unity can flourish, and individuals can rediscover the blessings of being part of the Church community.

A mother’s deep and unconditional love for her children is not for a day but an enduring lifetime. Those who have the privilege to put their lives on the line at childbirth offer it over and over again as they nurture their children through childhood. Bringing a life to being is a glorious event by a couple, perfecting the life is a lifelong endeavor that involves not only the birth mother but all women.

As we focus on the role of mothers we make these recommendations:

• Listen to know their needs. Give a listening ear.
• Express deep love to a woman in your life, especially your mother.
• Let them know and feel genuine appreciation from you.
• Provide a sincere act of service.
• Give them a day of rest from house chores.
• Pray to know how you can show love to the women in your life.

As Mother’s Day approaches, it’s a time to celebrate and honor the mothers in our lives. But for some, this day can bring a feeling of sadness or loss. There are children who have lost their mothers, or who have never known the love and guidance of a mother figure. That’s where the theme of “Be a mother to the motherless” comes in.

“And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.” – Alma 7:12 Christ’s willingness to take upon himself the infirmities of his people and to show them mercy. As we seek to be mothers to the motherless, we can follow Christ’s example by taking upon ourselves the needs and pains of those who are hurting.

Being a mother to the motherless means reaching out to those who may be feeling alone or forgotten. It means providing a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a hand to hold. It means showing love and kindness to those who may have never experienced it before.

This Mother’s Day, let us not only celebrate the mothers in our lives but also remember those who may not have a mother figure to celebrate with. Let us be the mothers they need, showing them the love and care that Christ himself would show. By being a mother to the motherless, we can make a difference in the lives of those around us and bring joy and hope to those who need it most.

As we have entered into the week for stake conference, we invite you dear brothers and sister to take a moment each day to invite family and friends to attend both Saturday and Sunday sessions of the conference.

Working the phones may mean placing phone calls, sending text, Whatsapp messages, twitting, posting on facebook or instagram to invite people for conference. It is a week of “get out to vote” for stake conference.

When you and your family are set to attend, invite your neighbor to attend also. Let us make this a fun week as we work towards the stake conference. May the Lord bless us all as we work the phones to bring family and friends to conference.

Just as the Nephites gathered together to hear the teachings of the Savior, we too can gather together, albeit virtually, to hear the words of our leaders and receive divine guidance.

We are pleased to inform you that the upcoming General Conference will be broadcasted online and is accessible to everyone. We encourage you to invite your friends and family to participate in this wonderful event.

It will be broadcasted live on GHOne Television and streamed on the LDS Broadcast page.

General Conference is an opportunity for us to come closer to our Heavenly Father and receive the revelation and inspiration that we need to navigate through life. We encourage you to extend the invitation to those around you, so that they may also receive the blessings that come from participating in this event.

Let us reach out and help a friend to prepare him/herself for the upcoming Annual General Conference on 1st and 2nd April. Let us take this wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and deepen our faith with our friends.

Whether by studying the scriptures or discussing our thoughts and feelings about the conference with our friends, let us keep the councel of the message in D&C 11:12 in mind. “And now, verily, verily, I say unto thee, put your trust in that Spirit which leadeth to do good—yea, to do justly, to walk humbly, to judge righteously; and this is my Spirit.”

Dear brothers and sisters
 
As we see our brothers and sisters in Nigeria, Turkey and Syria facing difficult times with their elections and the aftermath of a massive earthquake, let us come together as a family and offer our prayers for their safety and well-being. As a family, let us ask for divine intervention to bring peace and comfort to those who are affected.
 
Mosiah 24:14 reminds us that “And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.”
 
Let us remember that as we come together in prayer, we can provide strength and support to those who are suffering. We can also bear witness of the Lord’s love and mercy as we unite our faith and lift our voices in prayer.
 
Let us encourage our families and loved ones to join us in this effort to support our brothers and sisters in need. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to those who are hurting.
 
May God bless Nigeria, Turkey, Syria and all nations alike, and all those who are affected by these challenges.
