As we witness the devastation that disasters bring upon countries and their people, it is crucial that we come together as families to lift up our brothers and sisters in prayer. The power of family prayer cannot be understated, as it not only brings us closer to each other but also closer to our Heavenly Father, who has the power to heal and comfort those who are suffering.

We also request for special prayers for our brothers and sisters in Nigeria who are going into a crucial elections this weekend. Pray that there is peace before, during and after the elections.

In the Book of Mormon, we read in 3 Nephi 18:21, “Pray in your families unto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and your children may be blessed.” This verse reminds us of the importance of praying as families, as we seek blessings and guidance from God. Let us follow this counsel and unite in prayer with our families for those who are affected by disasters in different parts of the world.
