Tema Stake Comes Together for All-Africa Service Project

Serving Together, Strengthening Our Community

The Tema Ghana Stake came together on Saturday for the All-Africa Service Project, bringing members from all eight wards across the Stake together for a day centered on service, compassion, and love for others.

The day brought together members at the Stake Center, where volunteers participated in two important areas of service: blood donation and community clean-up.

Members donated blood in support of the local blood bank, helping contribute to a resource that is needed every day to care for patients and families in our communities. The Stake has continued to support blood donation efforts, recognizing that giving blood is one simple but meaningful way members can help save lives.

At the same time, volunteers worked together to clean the Stake Center and the surrounding areas. What could have simply been a day of work quickly became an opportunity for members to strengthen friendships, meet others from different wards, and serve side by side.

There were smiles, laughter and conversations throughout the day. Children, youth, adults and leaders all played their part, creating an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the project.

A Continued Commitment to Service

The All-Africa Service Project is part of the Tema Ghana Stake’s continued effort to support the communities where its members live and worship.

Through blood donation initiatives, community clean-ups and other service efforts, members are finding practical ways to follow the example of Jesus Christ by reaching out to others.

For many, donating blood may take only a short amount of time, but its impact can extend far beyond the person who gives. A single donation has the potential to support someone facing an emergency, undergoing treatment or fighting to recover from illness.

The Stake’s continued partnership with blood donation efforts reflects a simple belief: when we have the opportunity to help, we should.

Serving Together

Saturday’s turnout was a powerful example of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

Members from all eight wards set aside their usual routines to give their time and energy to something bigger than themselves. Whether it was rolling up their sleeves to clean, donating blood, helping organize the day or simply encouraging others, everyone had a part to play.

The day ended not only with cleaner surroundings and blood donations, but with a stronger sense of unity among the members who participated.

As the Tema Ghana Stake continues to look for opportunities to serve, the All-Africa Service Project stands as another reminder that small acts of service, when done together, can make a meaningful difference.

The work continues — in our wards, in our communities and wherever there is an opportunity to lift and bless the lives of others.

“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.” — Mosiah 2:17
