BYU Marriott School of Business dean shares a message of hope, opportunity, and lifelong learning with students and Church leaders in Tema.
TEMA, Ghana — The Tema Stake Center welcomed Dean Brigitte C. Madrian, Dean of the BYU Marriott School of Business, for a memorable visit with BYU–Pathway Worldwide students and members of the Tema Stake Presidency. The visit provided an opportunity for students to learn more about the educational opportunities available through BYU–Pathway and to gain insight into BYU’s vision for their academic and professional futures.

During the gathering, Dean Madrian met with students in an interactive discussion, highlighting the value of education as a lifelong pursuit and encouraging them to remain steadfast in their commitment to personal growth, academic excellence, and discipleship. She spoke about the opportunities available through BYU–Pathway and the BYU Marriott School of Business, emphasizing that education can open doors to meaningful employment, leadership, and service.
Students were invited to ask questions and share their experiences, creating an engaging conversation that addressed their aspirations, challenges, and future goals. The discussion also included members of the Tema Stake Presidency, who reaffirmed their commitment to supporting students as they pursue higher education while strengthening their faith.

The visit offered students a deeper understanding of BYU–Pathway’s mission to provide spiritually based, affordable, and accessible education that prepares individuals to become capable leaders in their homes, workplaces, and communities. Many students expressed appreciation for the opportunity to hear directly from one of BYU’s senior academic leaders and left the meeting feeling inspired and motivated to continue their educational journey.
Speaking after the event, several students shared that the discussion broadened their perspective on the possibilities available through BYU–Pathway and strengthened their confidence in pursuing their academic and career goals.
